100th Birthday at Burrswood
“Burrswood” a popular care home situated in the friendly residential area of Walmersley, close to the town of Bury today celebrates a milestone birthday for one of its valued residents.
Alice Woodman today reached the 100yr milestone. Celebrating with a tea party and visit from friends and family including special guest Bury Mayor Cllr Trevor Holt .
A card from the queen congratulating Alice on her birthday was received.
Alice quipped “that she had so many cards that she may need a bigger room in which to put them all”.
A native of Liverpool Alice was married to husband Eustace and had one son Peter who travelled from his home in the Isle of Man to celebrate .
Burrswood Care Home’s manager Kelly Buckley said: “Alice is a lovely lady and it was a great privilege to celebrate her 100 years with her and her family She is such a big part of the home and everyone here at Burrswood are so pleased to be a part of such an important birthday".
