For out of office hours, please contact individual care homes.
We are pleased to soon be able to welcome visitors back to our Care Homes as the Government’s new rapid lateral flow C-19 test is made available to us. This new test is truly welcome as loved ones have not been able to meet properly for a long time, however its roll-out will take time. Throughout the coming weeks, Resident safety and infection control will remain our top priority. There will be a lot of family members wanting to visit Residents, so all visits will need to be pre-booked with your local Home and will be subject to local public health authority controls, the Home’s local circumstances and dynamic risk assessment. Please support our dedicated teams as they strive to balance visits with the continued smooth running of our Homes.
Braemount Residential and Nursing Care Home
Tucked away in the quiet residential area of Glenburn, Paisley, Braemount is a purpose-built complex comprising three separate houses and was built to offer the highest level of elderly care in a homely environment. Espadair and Linnwell houses provide nursing care and support, while Nethercraigs specialise in nursing dementia care.
Our residents have the choice of long or short-term care, including nursing, respite and palliative care. We also have specialist nursing care for residents who have very specific needs – such as those living with Parkinson's, for example.

From our ever-popular cinema club to enjoying some light exercise, there's always something interesting and varied to do at Braemount.
We've got our dedicated activity co-ordinator to ensure there are enjoyable activities for our residents to take part in at the home. Whether it's a reminiscence session with other residents or enjoying a spot of light exercise, every resident is consulted when they arrive at the home to find out their likes and interests.
We have frequent visits from the barber, the hairdresser, children's nursery and a selection of local entertainers, which always proves popular with our residents. Other activities enjoyed by our residents include: Arts and crafts, local community and charity events, personal hobbies and interests and regular days out.
We always make sure that any dietary requirements our residents have are taken into consideration when our chef is planning their menus, making sure that all meals are nutritious and tasty.
Braemount is separated into three houses, and each one has its own bedrooms, lounge, dining room, conservatory and delightful garden with patio area. Although we have 90 rooms in total, the standard of features and decoration is uniformly superb across all of them.
Every room is attractively furnished, has its own ensuite, TV aerial and telephone points, thermostatically controlled radiators and a 24-hour call system for a direct link to a nurse or carer 24 hours a day.
