We are pleased to soon be able to welcome visitors back to our Care Homes as the Government’s new rapid lateral flow C-19 test is made available to us. This new test is truly welcome as loved ones have not been able to meet properly for a long time, however its roll-out will take time. Throughout the coming weeks, Resident safety and infection control will remain our top priority. There will be a lot of family members wanting to visit Residents, so all visits will need to be pre-booked with your local Home and will be subject to local public health authority controls, the Home’s local circumstances and dynamic risk assessment. Please support our dedicated teams as they strive to balance visits with the continued smooth running of our Homes.
Golfhill Nursing Care Home
At Golfhill we pride ourselves on the high level of care we offer and the range of activities and facilities available to our residents.
The home is made up of four houses. Whitehill and Alexander Houses specialise in nursing dementia care, Craigpark House cares for frail elderly while Dennistoun House provides intermediate care.
Our team of registered nurses and well-trained care assistants provide 24-hour care to ensure our residents' comfort and well-being. We like our residents to get to know one another in a safe and supportive environment. Our aim is to make every resident feel completely at home and our 'person centred' approach emphasises respect and dignity.

We encourage our residents to pursue their own interests, and to try something new. Our team makes sure there are interesting and stimulating activities to engage our residents every day.
Our Activities
Indoor games, puzzles, as well as arts and crafts are all popular with our residents. The grounds are great for a little gentle gardening and we regularly organise trips to local places of interest. There is an on-site hairdressing salon where residents can indulge in a little pampering. Our residents often enjoy entertainers, visits from the local Nursery School as well as visits from a petting zoo bringing a lot of variation and fun to day to day life at Gofhill.
We support fundraising and volunteering at Golfhill, and there are regular community events. Friends and family are always welcome to join the many trips and activities we organise.
Our chefs design varied menus featuring well-balanced, nutritious meals made with fresh ingredients. Upon arrival someone will be along to discuss any dietary needs or personal preferences a new resident may have.
We have 120 tastefully furnished bedrooms with ensuite facilities, many with lovely views of the gardens. We encourage residents to add personal possessions, such as photographs and ornaments to their rooms to make them feel even more at home. Each house contains spacious social areas and a bright conservatory.
