Welcome to Kingsway House Residential and Nursing Care Home

Kingsway is located in the lovely village of Langley Park, just seven miles from the historic city of Durham were there is a variety of local amenities. Kingsway is set in a quiet residential area with beautiful landscaped gardens and provides a homely atmosphere with the best of care. We have a dedicated team who provide excellent quality care and company for adults with mental health needs including Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar, Korsakoff and other types of Dementias.

The health and wellbeing of our residents is a priority.  We make sure we reach our goal by ensuring:

• All residents have comprehensive risk assessments and person centred care plans developed and regularly evaluated.
• Our menu has been approved by Durham and Darlington Focus on Undernutrition team. Our menus provide fresh nutritious food allowing for individual choices.
• We promote individual choices through the use of the 'Choices Tool'.
• We maintain close links with external multi-professionals to ensure all care needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
• Religious needs catered for through visits by clergy of residents’ choice.

We support a number of charities including The MacMillan Cancer Fund and Children in Need, we also hold special charity fun days during the year to raise monies for our chosen charities.
