We are pleased to soon be able to welcome visitors back to our Care Homes as the Government’s new rapid lateral flow C-19 test is made available to us. This new test is truly welcome as loved ones have not been able to meet properly for a long time, however its roll-out will take time. Throughout the coming weeks, Resident safety and infection control will remain our top priority. There will be a lot of family members wanting to visit Residents, so all visits will need to be pre-booked with your local Home and will be subject to local public health authority controls, the Home’s local circumstances and dynamic risk assessment. Please support our dedicated teams as they strive to balance visits with the continued smooth running of our Homes.
Mill View Residential and Nursing Care Home
You'll find us situated in the quiet residential suburb of Great Lever, half a mile from Bolton town centre and close to local amenities. Our home is made up of six houses, each with its own unique character but all reflecting the levels of care and hygiene you would expect from Advinia.
Mill View is surrounded by beautifully kept private grounds, with delightful gardens, a gazebo and tranquil sensory garden. We also grow our own vegetables, soft fruit and herbs for use in the kitchen.
Our highly trained care assistants and registered nurses know it's very important to strike a balance between providing care when it's needed and helping our residents to be as independent as possible.

We want all our residents to enjoy the facilities on offer in their own individual way, and encourage them to pursue their own interests or try something new with a suitable group activity.
Our dedicated activity co-ordinator helps residents lead as full and active a life as possible, creating a varied and inclusive activity programme that encourages social interaction as well as improving appetites and sleeping patterns. We take into account our residents' different interests and levels of mobility and ensure there's something for everyone.
As well as indoors pursuits – knitting, reading and film clubs – we also have visits from local entertainers and organise frequent days out to places such as Blackpool, Southport, local garden centres and theatres. Friends and family are welcome to join in with any of our activities.
At Mill View our residents delight in helping out in the garden, where we grow some of the fresh produce our chef uses to create the healthy, delicious dishes served every day. Special dietary requirements are discussed beforehand.
Many of our well-furnished, brightly decorated bedrooms have lovely views out across the surrounding landscaped gardens.
Our rooms are cleaned every day, there are smoke detectors throughout and, for added peace of mind, each bedroom is fitted with a 24-hour call system. Residents are welcome to personalise their bedrooms with their favourite ornaments and pictures.

If you are not happy with anything whilst living here please tell one of the staff. We will try our very best to sort this out for you.
