For out of office hours, please contact individual care homes.
We are pleased to soon be able to welcome visitors back to our Care Homes as the Government’s new rapid lateral flow C-19 test is made available to us. This new test is truly welcome as loved ones have not been able to meet properly for a long time, however its roll-out will take time. Throughout the coming weeks, Resident safety and infection control will remain our top priority. There will be a lot of family members wanting to visit Residents, so all visits will need to be pre-booked with your local Home and will be subject to local public health authority controls, the Home’s local circumstances and dynamic risk assessment. Please support our dedicated teams as they strive to balance visits with the continued smooth running of our Homes.
Millview Residential and Nursing Care Home
Our home has been designed specifically to meet the needs of elderly residents across two sites – Happy Valley and Cairley's Croft, both offering the level of care and support you would expect from Advinia.
All our residents are different, with their own life story and experiences. We take time to get to know each one so that we can tailor the care we provide to suit their specific needs. We create a warm, friendly atmosphere where rules and regulations are kept to a minimum for residents and they are encouraged to lead as full and happy a life as possible.

We ensure our residents are rarely short of fun, engaging things to see and do. Our varied activity programme is a vital part of the care we provide.
Residents are encouraged to pursue their own hobbies and interests and we sit down and chat with them about any of our group activities they might like to try. These are a great way for residents to make friends, and improve overall humour, appetites and sleeping patterns. Friends and family are welcome to come along and join in the fun.
Typical daily activities include reminiscence sessions, quizzes and arts and crafts, as well as visits from local entertainers and musicians. Local charity events are a great way for residents to feel part of the wider community.
Upon arrival a member of our catering team will be along to chat with our new resident about what kind of food they like as well as anything they'd prefer to avoid. We will also go over any special dietary requirements and make sure these details are passed onto our experienced chef.
All our bedrooms have en-suite facilities and views of the lovely gardens. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with ornaments, pictures and small items of furniture to make them feel as at home as possible.
For added peace of mind each room is fitted with a smoke detector and 24-hour call system.
